Happy Birthday Grandma!
We hope you like your website to celebrate your birthday. We chose pink to remind you of your favorite flowers.
Your life has been full of happy memories and we've been fortunate to share many of them with you. We're all looking forward to many more birthday celebrations to come!
More about you
You are the mother of Stuart and the grandmother of Alexandra and Henry. Born on Monday November 5th 1917 in a village near Market Harborough, your father was Frank Freeston your grandfather was the Station Master in Northamptonshire.
You left school in 1935 after becoming head girl and winning the school tennis tournament to become an uncertified teacher. Although you were very happy teaching young children, you moved to Great Oxendon after the war.
By coincidence, you were reunited with a young man you had once met at a party. Jasper proposed and you were married on October 4th 1941. Your only son Stuart was born in 1944 and you lived together on the family farm in a beautiful village called Lyddington in Rutland. Jasper farmed there until his tragic death on Easter Sunday in 1979.
You remained in Lyddington until you managed to wind up the farm affairs and then moved to Uppingham in January 1980, where you have lived with your trusted companions Jed and then Basil ever since.
Your family loves you very much and we can't wait to see you at your birthday party this Sunday. Make sure you check the guestbook messages!
